In 1977, Otis Spunkmeyer started as a retail cookie store making fresh-baked cookies in the San Francisco Bay Area. After six years, the company shifted its focus and started producing, marketing and selling its delicious cookie dough to foodservice locations such as schools, colleges, hotels and restaurants.

It typically takes 7 – 14 business days to receive your first delivery; this includes completing the credit process and first order placement through our customer service group.

A typical home refrigerator/freezer combo will hold about 3 cases of our cookie dough. Our bulk packaged cookie dough come in a large freezer bag within the master case, allowing for easier storage.

Otis Spunkmeyer has 2 delivery options: 1) via our distributor partner network; 2) Direct to your location via Direct Ship Delivery network which services most areas of the United States. Our 1.33 oz. cookie is the most popular size, and our most popular flavors are Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal Raisin, Peanut Butter, Butter Sugar, and White Chocolate Macadamia Nut. We also have some more unique flavors that consumers really love such as Strawberry Shortcake, Double Chocolate Brownie, Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk, Triple Chocolate and Red, White and Blue. We recommend carrying at least one non standard flavor in addition to the core line; and rotating flavors to offer a variety and maintain interest.

Otis Spunkmeyer Plants do not use peanut oil as a manufacturing aid in their processing. All of our ingredients are fully disclosed in the ingredient declarations on every package. Any ingredients containing peanut are kept isolated in storage and in processing. Peanut products are manufactured at the end of a production schedule and then the processing line is completely washed and sanitized. Our production lines must pass our peanut protein residue swab testing, ATP-food residue swab testing and visual inspection prior to running any other product.

Many of our products are Kosher Certified. Please click here to access our product line.  After you select a product channel (such as retail or foodservice), you may select a specific product line (such as "Sweet Discovery"). On the left toolbar, select "filter by feature", and select kosher.  Once this is complete a list of all our kosher certified products in that specific category will display.  It will also display the kosher symbol just above the nutritional facts for each individual item when selected.

Our program is the best in the industry. Otis Spunkmeyer will loan the oven to any qualifying account that doesn't have current oven capacity or who wants a secondary oven to display/bake in front of customers. All cookie flavors bake up at the same time and temperature, so you can bake several of our mouthwatering varieties simultaneously.

If you purchase from us direct, please contact customer service to place an order (888 ASK OTIS, option 1); if you purchase from a distributor, for equipment orders such as ovens, please contact your distributor or broker sales representative who will order the equipment on your behalf.

In most cases, there is no contract to sign. The only requirement to use our oven is that you purchase at least 2 cases of our cookie dough per month. If you find that our products do not help you increase profits and customer satisfaction, simply call us and we’ll pick up the oven and you’ll have no further obligation.

All of our frozen cookie dough products are compatible with our ovens, regardless of the size or flavor of the cookie.

We do not rent, lease or sell our ovens. However, our frozen cookie dough comes in a variety of sizes and our marketing materials should allow you to meet our minimums. Our most popular cookie size is a medium 1.33 oz cookie of which there are approximately 240 cookies per case. Cases of our 3 oz cookies come with approximately 105 cookies.

Our cookie dough is designed to go straight from the freezer to the oven, and is delivered frozen to you so it is important that you place the dough in the freezer as soon as you can.

It is suggested that our cookie dough be placed into the freezer immediately, however, if circumstances arise where the cookie dough has to sit out of the freezer for an undetermined amount of time, it is recommended that it not sit out for more than 4-6 hours at room temperature only.  For more specifics on food safety, please contact our quality department at 888-ASK OTIS, option 5.
